Testimonials
Our son, Clark, has been a student of Jeremy‘s for a couple of semesters now. What I love most about Clark’s piano journey is that Jeremy meets Clark where he is at yet challenges him to new heights. Clark has enjoyed both of his recitals so far and I think he has caught the performance bug! This wouldn’t be possible without the positive environment that Jeremy creates for his students. Our family is so proud of Clark and the skills that he has learned from Jeremy!

Jeremy Taylor has taught our kids (6 sons) for over a decade. He has a great blend of encouragement and accountability, and loves to make it fun. Our boys love music, and especially piano, in large part because of Jeremy’s patient and personalized teaching. He has been with them through thick and thin: from a “cool song” that they just want to learn to play, all the way to recitals, auditions, competitions, scholarship opportunities – always in their corner with encouragement and a plan. Most of our boys are adults now and several have continued to play piano for their own enjoyment and for others. Thank you, Jeremy!

Getting a 7yo boy excited for his piano lesson is a hard task but Jeremy does that! He brings energy and fun to each lesson. Although not always eager to practice, my son is always excited to go to his lesson with Jeremy.

FAQ
What ages do you teach?
Do I need a piano at home to start lessons?
How long are lessons?
What styles of music do you teach?
While I teach classical music best, I enjoy teaching my students a range of musical styles as they are ready and interested, including Disney, film & game soundtracks, hymns & worship, pop, showtunes, jazz and ragtime.
Can parents sit in during lessons?
Parents are welcome to sit in during lessons or wait elsewhere. If sitting in I ask parents to allow me to address any unruly behavior according to my own discretion and timing.
How do payments work?
I operate under 3 payment systems:
1. At the MACC during the school year, students commit to a semester at a time and pay for the weeks I make their time slot available. Refunds are not normally given for missed lessons, but I try to help students reschedule and swap times with other students when enough notice is given. I email the previous month’s bill at the beginning of each month.
2. At the MACC during the summer, payment is made for lessons given in the previous month. Cancellations are free as long as they’re not made the same day, but advance notice is appreciated!
3. At SFA, students pay in advance in 2-month intervals for however many lessons they anticipate in that timeframe. Any amounts underpaid or overpaid are balanced in the next payment. SFA also has an annual registration fee of $40.
What if we need to miss a lesson?
I have two cancellation policies:
1. At the MACC during the school year I don’t normally refund missed lessons but I try to help students swap times with other families when enough notice is given.
2. At the MACC during the summer and at SFA year-round cancellation is free with 24+ hours notice.
When do students get performance opportunities?
I hold student recitals twice a year, typically toward the end of each school semester. I am also happy to prepare students for competitions and other performances.
